What does email have to do with fitness? Perth based startup, LifeFit by trainer Jacob Moffitt is using email (as one of many tools) to keep busy-people on-track with their fitness training.
For the past month or so, I’ve been on a roadshow presenting Posse to prospective investors in the finance industry. I’ve raised funding from Angel groups before, but this was my first experience of the next class of venture capitalist. Most of my meetings were with brokers and their clients – about fifty in total. Everyone was friendly and we closed the investment round shortly after.

After coming up with the idea for Geomoby he applied for Founder Institute Perth and put himself through that full time. Emerging from FI battered but smarter he then won a scholarship with Spacecubed so he could really get stuck into the Geomoby concept. Then recently he won the opportunity to represent Spacecubed and Perth in the #s3global first Global Hackathon in Korea.

Apparently the YOW Conference is a big thing, it started in Denmark as the Java and Object Orientation Conference – JAOO pronounced “YOW”, was brought to Australia in 2007 and has been going on over east every year since then; Perth companies regularly send developers there to learn stuff.
