Australian Entrepreneurs Win, Perth First

According to the Australian Bureau of statics, Australia’s SMEs reportedly accounted for nearly 3/4 of the entire workforce and draw in an earning of close to 60% of all business income. In simple terms a lot of Australians financially depend on the success of their fellow countrymen and women’s entrepreneurial endeavors.

Fat Hen, an Australian headquartered crowd funding Venture Capital Company, is proud to announce our new strategic partnership with The Entourage. The Entourage is Australia’s leading private education institution for entrepreneurs, enabling businessmen and women across the country to achieve their personal and financial goals through the growth of their business.

“At Fat Hen we very much understand and appreciate that the entrepreneurial dream, for the founders and their investors, is not a simple linear process” says Mr. Rajab Karume, CMO Fat Hen Ventures “but rather a dynamic, back and forth, journey best travelled in the company of access to capital, information, knowledge and expertise”.

Investing, as part of an entrepreneur’s journey, is simply scary for most people. And a preference to directly get involved, beyond the social media like, by say the young and inexperienced is very much hampered by current available options. Fat Hen is on a mission to shake things up.

Fat Hen seeks to capture leadership in Australia’s equity crowd funding space, bridging the gap between personal and institutional sources of finance for entrepreneurs.

“A full service venture capital company powered by the crowd” explains Jeff Broun, CEO Fat Hen Ventures “With an inherently transparent corporate structure, including due diligence, to our approach”

Two events scheduled for Perth, August 2014, will give Perth’s entrepreneur community a taste and insight into both the Fat Hen and the Entourage value. Registration is a must, due to limited space.

  1. The Entourage’s Unconvention, 23rd August 2014 at the Perth’s convention centre- Speakers include four-time BRW Young Rich List Member Dorry Kordahi, two-time Australian Young Entrepreneur of the Year Brad Smith, and Jack Delosa, built two multi-million dollar businesses by the age of 26 and coined by Sunrise as “the young Aussie millionaire who dropped out of uni.”

This event brings together hundreds of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to offer them a forum to learn from Australia’s best entrepreneurs and business thought leaders, as well as connect with other like-minded individuals and potential investors.

“It’s our belief that the best means to enable Australia’s next generation of business owners to succeed is to connect them with successful entrepreneurs who possess ‘been there, done that’ experience.” Jack Delosa, Founder of The entourage.

Through events like The Entrepreneurs’ Unconvention and their private education program, The Entourage has enabled entrepreneurs across the country to add more than $147.5 million in total enterprise value to their businesses and generated over $426,000 worth of media exposure.

  1. Fat Hen’s Pitch Perfect Equity Crowd funding, 28th August 2014, at the Spacecubed.

The term pitch has become a ubiquitous term around the entrepreneurial community globally and for a good reason, communication. This event brings together entrepreneurs who wish to learn about the art of perfecting their communication techniques when it comes to seeking that elusive funding. Specifically the opportunity to sit on the ‘capital/investor side’ and pass judgment on established entrepreneurs.

Those who have undertaken or are currently undertaking a capital seeking journey, a practical learning experience.

“It is famously said that the best offence is defence. But how does one expect to play defence if one has have never defended?” Rajab Karume, CMO Fat Hen.

Fat Hen Ventures is unique in the way it is structured and uses corporate and technological innovation to reach out to the retail audience and allow members to back either a specific investment or spread their investments. Through Fat Hen venture, building a nest egg with the discipline of a large venture fund is now available to retail or wholesale investors with small (or large) funds to invest.
