It was always going to be a longshot, but clearly not actually million-to-one* and sure enough there weren’t enough signups from people at such short notice to make it worthwhile trying to continue with the current plan.

[box style=”new”] BUT WAIT! The catering bill has already been paid, so the truly excellent people at Sixty27 have announced a Startup Party on Friday evening, free food and drinks for all! [/box]

The official word from the organising team is:

Following on from discussions last week about the fate of SWJoondalup, due to low registration levels we have decided to postpone the event and reschedule it for approximately 3.5 months from now (looking at mid-November).

We will instead be holding a ‘Start-Up Party’ on Friday 8th August at 6pm for everyone who has shown interest (including mentors, speakers and judges) who wants to come and check out the awesome new co-working space, sixty27 and do some networking within the Perth ‘start-up’ scene while enjoying some free booze and food.

RSVP by picking the party from the list on the Event Page.

*Pratchett fans will know what I mean. For the rest of you.
