StartupWA launched this week, the “peak body” designed to raise the startup community’s profile with government. They’ve got a survey up on their site that takes a couple of minute to fill in and will help them:

Chivas Regal has today announced the Australian launch of The Venture, a global search for the most promising social entrepreneurs: those with businesses or ideas that use enterprise and innovation as a force for doing good. For the first time Australian’s (sic) will have the opportunity to take part in the initiative, giving local social entrepreneurs the chance to take their ideas global, with a share of $1 million up for grabs.

We have been plugging away at our business – Docmosis – for the last few years and having some reasonable success. But we’ve never really made any noise about it.We’ve got some good local customers. eg. The WA Education Dept uses our software to make all the School Reports for the State.
