Lots has happened since Techboard’s last regular update on 11 December 2015 when we released our top 100 trending startups of 2015 (compiled from our first 7 rankings). Since then we have run another 2 regular Startup Rankings and we have also finalised the details of our first major distribution arrangement. It is looking to be an exciting year ahead.
Techboard is increasing its reach
We are pleased to kick off the year by announcing that Techboard has partnered with Business News, the pre-eminent source of information regarding business matters in Western Australia, to increase our ability to get greater exposure for WA’s Startup and Tech Companies. This partnership was first announced in this week’s print edition of Business News. The core aspect of this partnership will be that from its next print edition on 1 February, Business News will be publishing an excerpt from the Techboard Startup Ranking and a selection of announcements made on Techboard’s announcement platform. Business News has an impressive reach with more than 20,000 people reading its print newspaper, and over 46,000 receiving its daily morning and afternoon email bulletins.
We are excited about the possibilities of this partnership with BN and we hope it will help WA’s startups and tech companies reach a broader audience. It will also help to expose Perth investors to some great WA startup companies and give them an easy way of spotting startups on the rise. We hope that this partnership will give new impetus for more Startups to engage with and be more active on Techboard.

Techboard is in the process of rolling out a series of improvements to its site. Before Christmas we added the ability to embed videos into Company profiles. We are now in the process of trimming back our categories down from well over 100 to less than 30 and refining the way some things work on Techboard, such as the making of announcements. We will also soon be launching our Problem Solver listings to help startups locate startup-friendly service providers.
Techboard provides a free ASX style announcements platform for startups and tech companies and runs a fortnightly startup ranking. Visit Techboard, claim a profile and start announcing.
