37 year old The Mining Hub founder, Sean Mitchell, is still missing, since his disappearance last Friday.

He was last seen last Friday (20th May) after a meeting with The Mining Hub‘s developer, saying he was going to get a kebab and catch a train home. More details are emerging from news coverage of the story. Nothing has been heard from him for a week. The police have been searching for him along the river near Mosman Park.

The Mining Hub is a web portal and platform for the resources industry. Sean has been working on this idea for a few years now, and has recently seen some real revenue growth and traction. This month he organised the first Mining Hub networking event for mining professionals, which was a success by all accounts (Sean’s comment: “What a night our first event and 100+ people in attendance and i didn’t bugger up too badly in my talks… great night…”).

Sean has been a regular at startup community events, and we hope to see him at them again.

If anyone has any information about Sean’s whereabouts, they are urged to call police on 131 444.
