Startup West podcast ep4: Chloë and Sam from Startup WA

Startup West podcast ep4: Chloë and Sam from Startup WA

In our fourth episode, we talk with two Startup WA board members Chloë Constantinides and Sam Birmingham…

We’re in a rhythm now, the first and third Wednesday of every month, so here we are with the second one for September, starring Chloë and Sam from Startup WA.

Chloë has worked in digital businesses such as Dapper Apps and RateIt, spent time in New York and is a cofounder of Dapper Apps and founder of Kisanii. She also is an adviser on Skills of the Modern Age (SOMA).

Sam set up WeBe in the mid to late 2000s, which did not quite take off, but then established Perth’s first Startup Weekend and PhDo, before working for Pollenizer and iiNet for a time. He is now the Coordinator at StartupWA.

Both are champions for the local startup sector in WA and put in a lot of behind-the-scenes (unpaid) work.

We ask them about what StartupWA does to represent the local early stage tech sector to government, corporates and others, and what they feel the local scene needs now…
