In episode 7, we talk with the Dr Marcus Tan, co-founder and CEO of the wildly successful health tech business, HealthEngine …
Is there a nicer, smarter or better spoken local tech leader than Marcus Tan? You would be hard pressed to find one. Marcus is part GP, CEO, co-founder, investor, philanthropist, mentor and pretty good badminton player to boot.
His tech business, HealthEngine, was inducted in the WA Tech Business Hall of Fame earlier this year, as well being awarded the inaugural WA Tech Business of the Year.
Established in Perth in 2006, Marcus bought in and took over the business in 2009 (having started a similar business – MedLink – previously.) HealthEngine has come a long way from its living room days to raising over $50M in venture funds, employing 130+ people and being Australia’s #1 health bookings site.
